We are working on fixing this issue in these days.

I guess your are using an Android device. The timeline disappears when using system buttons on Android devices. So meanwhile it is better to use only the buttons of the app to avoid this bug, after reloading the app.
Concerning the picker that appears each time you touch the screen, there is no way right now to avoid this. May be in next updates.
