Please consider making the app able to download grib files via satellite or other low bandwidth options for offshore sailing. If you did you would put many others in this space out of business.

Is there a plan to offer Windy via gribs in the future?

I don’t think it is possible that the app could use raw GRIB files. Because the GRIB files that Windy uses are firstly processed by Windy before being disseminated via internet to your device. Or it would need a special viewer app.
Then due to licence agreement Windy cannot send ECMWF GRIB files.

Everyone looking for gribs in Windy already has a special app or soft for reading it, like for instance Open CPN , this is the goal I think... you're viewing the forecast on Windy, then you want to download the grib files for offline use in your plotter or software, and you could do it directly on Windy.... This is what every sailor user wants to do.![text alternatif](![url de l'image](url de l'image))

If you have a GRIB viewer you can receive directly GRIB files from the Weather Center , e.g. NOAA for GFS files.
