Hi all, I’m not sure if this has been reported before, and maybe there are a lot of users who aren’t aware that on iOS you can go into settings, and set up an Apple Watch face with very nice windy complications.

While I love the amount of information density on the watch face, and I do believe Celsius is a great system for scientific data, I am unfortunately used to the Fahrenheit system of the US.

I seem to be unable to switch to Fahrenheit on my Apple Watch, even though I have set up the iOS app to use Fahrenheit, mph, and other imperial units.

I have tried to delete the watch face and create it again, and to sync my Apple Watch, and nothing really works.

Please let me know if there is some remedy to make my settings stick, otherwise I do think this might be a software bug

@David-B-4 I am not sure where to change it. There is a setting section on the Apple Watch, but they are greyed out.

        Mine are already on Fahrenheit.

Perhaps it is loaded from the main app? Are yours correct in the main app?

        Dan

@David-B-4 As @Dan-Bezak said, units are loaded mainly from the mobile app, if you have turned iCloud synchronization in Apple Watch settings. However, you can turn this off and you can set units manually in AW.

There is certainly a bug somewhere.

I have been having the same Celsius only problem for at least a month in the center complication 5 days. Coinciding with getting a new watch.

The phone has Fahrenheit and mostly US settings, iCloud sync is on, settings on the watch are not changeable, ... but the display continues to show the default metric units for all weather aspects.

No amount of fussing with it has resolved the problem. iCloud. No iCloud. Trying to change settings. Removing the watch face. Adding the watch face. Tried to solve this again today. The Apple Watch actually crashes when trying assign a complication from the Windy ... section. I can only pick the default options, and the windy watch face is actually entirely inoperable, when it comes to Windy stuff.

Apple stuff or other third party complications work fine.

@ice-rabbit same problem here. It’s supposed to mirror the Windy iPhone settings but it’s stuck in Celsius. I finally gave up and switched back to weather.com complication with its one day data. Ugh.

Same issue here. Watch is not mirroring my settings is this a bug?

Same problem here. Nothing I do changes the units to Fahrenheit on the watch.

Well, a few years have gone by since original post and the problem is back again. I can turn off iCloud Synch on watch face to change the Units settings but it doesn't reflect on the watch face. iPhone App has F and Inches. Turning on/off iCloud Synch does not change things.

                    Simple but irritating!!!
