How do you add favorites?

I thought it simply worked by clicking a location then on the heart icon, but that's not working. I'm using it on a Mac. What am I missing?

Yes, it is the way to add a favorite on Mac. Then you find the list of Favorites in the menu and to see them on the map you need to click on the small heart in bottom right corner of screen. As a free user you can save only 3 favorites. -
@idefix37 Thanks. Now I got it. I was trying to do it from clicking on a location. Unfortunately, it doesn't show the right location for the village when I search, so the nearest place I can save is rather far down the mountain from here.

If you want to place a Favorite out of a village, in mountain in altitude, you can do it by zooming in to the base map that shows altitudes.
