      Came across this behavior (current time) on the Windy app: current is high but background color shows no current. The error console shows no error.

          I think you’re right. The issue appears when the current is West (when flowing towards the West). It is correct when it is East. It seems there is something wrong with the u vector of the speed components (u,v). The speed value and the length of current particles are correct, but the colour is wrong.

          It is clear in the Channel, on the Normandy coast where the flow changes from East to West, about twice a day.
