      How do I enter Lat and Long in the Search Location box. I've typed in 37.5943, 122.5840 and 375943, -122.5840 both send me to the wrong location by over 150 miles. I'm lost.

        You can type coordinates into the search input in of the following formats:

        • Degrees, minutes, and seconds (DMS): 31°24'12.2"N 12°10'26.5"E
        • Degrees and decimal minutes (DMM): 31 24.20, 12 10.44
        • Decimal degrees (DD): 31.403, 12.174

          @Ondřej-Šutera
          DMM and DD do not work in this case for some reason. I'm looking for an anchorage in Drakes Bay, off the coast of California just south of Pt Reyes.
          Type in 37.5943, 122.584 or 37 59.43, 122 58.4 and tell me what comes up for you please.

            @mollywood I see certain locations next to Korea.

            But for instance Google Maps give same results to me.

              @Ondřej-Šutera

              My point exactly. On the other side of the planet from Pt Reyes, Drakes Bay, California US. Any idea as to how to proceed?

                  @Ondřej-Šutera

                  38 59.0 N, 122 57.3 W

                  As mentioned. I'm looking for a specific spot in
                  Drakes Bay, just south of Point Reyes, on the West Coast of the US in the state of California.

                    123 03.4 W
                    It's in Drake's Bay, just south of Pt Reyes, on the west coast of California USA

                        No. Look further N to the land mass that hooks out into the Pacific to the N of San Francisco. That hook Pt Reyes and Drakes Bay is right inside of the point. What's wrong with Search Location at Windy do you think? When I put the numbers in as you did - it sent me down to Pacifica, which is near where they sent you. Over 50 miles to the south of where I'm looking

                          @mollywood then the coordinates you have are incorrect. There is nothing wrong with the search location on Windy.
                          Is this more like it?
                          38.002587, -122.975235

                            Perfect! How'd you find that? When put the marker on where I wanted to be it put out the coordinates I quoted you of 37.5943, -122.5940. I didn't write down out beyond to the right on numbers as you did but try what I did on a spot you pick.

                            Please write down those numbers on the spot you pick that the cursor gives you then to confirm the spot type in the same numbers in the Search Position field.

                            I suspect you'll find out what I did that they don't correspond.

                              I'm not sure what to tell you here lol

                              These are all the same location:
                              Degrees Minutes Seconds (DMS): 37°59'56"N 122°58'34"W
                              Degrees Decimal Minutes (DDM): 37 59.9334, -122 58.5666
                              Decimal Degrees (DD): 37.99889, -122.97611

                              To get all of these coordinates converted, I used a coordinate converter I found on the internet.

                                It is strange that Windy would provide you coordinates for a location that aren't in the exact same format as what you can type in the search box.
                                And also strange that there seems to be no way to easily copy those coordinates.

                                  It sorta makes that option provided from Windy as not only of questionable value but potentially dangerous. Do you have any connection with Windy where they might be informed of this flaw?

                                    I don't entirely agree with you there...I wouldn't call it dangerous - it's still accurate information. The search isn't flawed, you just need to know the format...

                                    Also, I noticed in your previous messages that you were missing the "-"....anything South Latitude or West Longitude needs a negative sign when using DD and DDM.

                                    I find it strange that they provide a Lat/Long in DMS "N####, W####" and yet you have to input the same Lat/Long in DMS "####N #####W" when searching for a location.... just a weird choice in my opinion.

                                    Personally, I don't have any connection with Windy.com. Same as you, this public forum or there's an email address support@windy.com I think it is.
