Real time updates

Is there a way to make the map update in real time instead of having to refresh? Even if it's like every few minutes? I like to leave it up on my screen many times and it would be so much better if I didn't have to refresh it all the time. Id appreciate an answer. Thanks!

Strange, someone JUST asked this same question a couple of days ago...

As an aside:
I wonder if there is an extension or something out there for your browser of choice to refresh certain tabs or windows.
