Resolving Issues with Android Widgets: A Step-by-Step Guide
-
@nimo-nimo Hi. Please uninstall Windy from your device and try reinstalling it. Make sure GPS is turned on. The latest app version should be 41.2.3 built: 2024-04-15, 06:15 (you can check the version in the app -> click on hamburger menu and scroll down). Allow location permissions and long press on home button. After this step add a widget - in settings allow all the required permissions (location permission - allow all the time, battery - set to unrestricted). Tap on Add widget button - if this does not work please tap on menu button on the widget (three dots in the up right corner) and try to refresh the widget. Let us know if these steps worked. Thank you.

@Suty hi i cant seem to find the GIF maker on this new interface can you help me....
-
@Bacolod-Drrmo Hi there, we removed this feature in the last update of the UI.

@Kanesha-Bloczynski Before diving into more complex solutions, try restarting your device. A simple restart can often resolve minor glitches and restore widget functionality.```

This "fix" didn't work for me either. My main beef is that the widget no longer displays Fahrenheit temperatures and defaults to Celsius at all times. This issue began months ago and there's been no improvement or change. What broke and why can't it be fixed?

PS - My settings were all correct so there was nothing to change.

How do I get watches and warnings?
-
@Jasonaf1 What exactly do you mean? Do you talk about alerts for certain location?
-
@Suty like when I’m looking at radar on this app, it doesn’t show active warnings or watches. They were several tornado warnings the other day and they wasn’t popping up on this radar site.
-
@Jasonaf1 No, there is no warning offered in the radar layer, but you can check layer Weather warnings to get further info.

thanks very much

with the screen off, the phone is kept awake around 40% of the time, while the normal percentage used to be around 10-15%. I've tried cleaning cache and app data already.

My problem is the hourly and daily widgets, when applied to the home screen will be in metric when I would like imperial settings. I've tried reinstalling app, clearing cache and data. To no avail. My app is all imperial but never the widgets. I have an S24 ultra, it also happened on my S21 ultra. I am updated with Android and Windy.
