The widget stopped showing wind gusts and directions, after deleting it and reinstalling it - wind gusts and direction are displayed, but until the first click of the Refresh widget button. All permissions are given in the settings. Until recently, everything worked correctly!

Hi. I think you are using 4x1 widgets. 4x2 widgets shows gust and wind direction.

Hi, my Windy app is set to use mph, °F, in, etc (standard US measurements) but my 4x2 widget on Android shows mph, °C.
I've uninstalled the app, replaced the widget, set my units to different ones and changed them back, nothing seems to work.

@Phoenix1430 Hi, what version of Windy do you have installed? You can find it at the bottom of the menu.

I faced a similar issue on Android where widget settings didn’t fully sync after changing units in the main app.
What helped in my case:
- Removed the widget completely
- Cleared app cache (not data)
- Rebooted the phone
- Re-added the widget and then rechecked unit settings inside the app
Sometimes widgets keep old cached values, especially after OS updates.
For Android 13/14, checking background optimization and battery restrictions also helps, as widgets may not refresh properly.I usually verify system-level data separately as well, just to confirm values aren’t mismatched — using tools like an
online reference helps cross-check things from a user perspective.
