Distance & Planning - incorrect elevation and distance

The Distance & Planning feature could be very useful, however, there are cases when it shows completely wrong results.
For example, take a look at the screenshot below.
You can see on the map that:
- point 1 is 400 m AMSL
- point 2 is 550 m AMSL
Yet the panel shows min and max elevation equal to 560m and 0 distance!
If I move the 2nd point a little bit up north, then the distance is no longer 0, but the elevation is inaccurate.
Also when hovering over the elevation profile, the white point showing the current position on map goes far beyond the 2nd point. See the screencast:
