Units Changing in US
-
When I travel to the US and open the Windy app, my unit settings keep changing to imperial (°F, etc.), and I keep having to change them back to my preferences (which is actually a mix of imperial and metric). I know the US is reluctant to adopt the metic system, but forcing the user to use imperial units is a bit much… 😉😂
Is this a bug?

@inAjet Hi, if you have set your own settings, it shouldn't be changed after the relocation, however, it is possible that it can be affected when you install the app for the first time.
I will try to investigate this issue to get further info.

Hi @Ondřej-Šutera, this was not after a fresh install. I landed in the US, turned on my phone, opened Windy, and it had switched to °F all on its own.
-
@inAjet And were you logged in under still the same account, right? To be honest, it is strange, but we will try to replicate this issue somehow.
-
@Ondřej-Šutera sorry for the delay in getting back to you - for some reason I don't receive notifications on replies to my thread, even though I'm subscribed to get them (another issue I'm trying to get to the bottom of)! Yes, I was stilled logged into my account. I will say that this does not happen 100% of the time when using the app in the US, but it has occurred more than a few times now.

@inAjet Thank you for this info, we will monitor this.

@Ondřej-Šutera this issue is still occurring… just happened to me again when opening the app in Honolulu. Can we find a fix for this? Not ideal having to constantly reset all your unit preferences…
-
@inAjet Thank you for letting us know, however, we still are not able to replicate the issue in any way. Do you use iPhone, or Android? It is possible that you mentioned this, but I cannot find it in this thread.

@Ondřej-Šutera iPhone

@Ondřej-Šutera not sure it can be replicated unless you travel to the US… 😂
