I’m curious too if we can hook a Bresser up to Windy.

There may be an option here but I also read that the key value cannot contain the amount of characters as the api key.

Anyone knows what to fill in?

@ajohnstott @Gkikas-LGPZ @vanFelius Hi, I think this thread should help with answering this Bresser question. Unfortunately, we don't have any specific tutorial or insrtuctions.

          Finally ... I found a way!
I forwarded my station's data from WU to NOAA's CWOP and to Windy,
          by using this script
          https://github.com/leoherzog/WundergroundStationForwarder

... glad to see the visualization of solar radiation (in yellow)

but ... I don't see the rain (reported yesterday evening-night)

Is there any adjustment I must do?

@Gkikas-LGPZ I see you have there Pressure, am I right. We limit these visualizations and it is possible to display only two values from these 4 (Rain, pressure, solar radiation and uv).

Then... I preffer "rain" instead of "solar radiation".

                  @Suty
For better visualization, I suggest pressure (line) to be drawn as the top layer (in front of rain and/or solar radiation)
and not to be covered by those layers.

... also, I think you can try to use "rain" and "solar radiation" at the same time
as, when rain exists, solar radiation is limited.

Hi @Gkikas-LGPZ, I believe both precipitation and solar power are already being displayed. See for example this station in Prague or screenshot below.

I believe there might be issue with correctly processing data from different types of stations. There might be some kind of bug in processing that leads to data not being stored or displayed. We will investigate this a bit more.

These weather stations are cool gadgets, but sometimes they can be a bit off, especially with things like wind speed in built-up areas. Living in the UK, surrounded by buildings and all, it's tough to get accurate readings, right?

These weather stations are not gadgets, but they need to be installed in a proper location to get accurate reports. As you say, when there are high buildings in the surrounding, the wind measurement, speed and direction, will be surely wrong. Same with temperature.
Fortunately now in Windy you can choose the weather stations category you want (Aiports, WMO, PWS…).

I've got one myself, and while it's great for temp and humidity, I take the wind speed with a grain of salt.
I hear ya on the struggle to find a good spot to mount it, too. It's like trying to find a unicorn sometimes! 😅
If you're serious about getting precise wind readings, you might wanna check out Kestrel Instruments on kestrelinstruments.com. They've got some solid gear that's used by the pros. But hey, for everyday use, as long as the temp and humidity are on point, I'm happy enough.

                              1. What Windy API service do you use for generating the key?
                              2. What windyStationID do you use in the WundergroundStationForwarder script?

edit: solved this myself. I was using the windy API not the windy weather station API which has a much longer API key.
