Premium user here. Using Firefox on Ubuntu LTS, always latest, not apps because I want large display. Please don't tell me to ditch all setups and re-install or anything like that (what a terrible way to treat your users!), I've added and changed many color bars and so forth.

I want to always see the forecast bar but it seems to come and go whenever it likes to. Please tell me how to never loose it again, I don't just want a single 'play' button with a time line, I want to see the forecast of temp, wind, etc for 4 or 10 days. That's all. It should not disappear; and if for some reason it does disappear, how do I get it back?

Also, the startup location always reverts to my very first search, rather than my first favorite, which I selected to be the startup location. Also, why is there no weather picker there, on startup? It used to be there but I've lost it for some reason.
Also, why does it not display my selected layer (Temperature), but my initial layer way back when (Rain)?
Where are these things stored? Can I edit this stuff in an easy way, like a prefs.js file?

I am impressed by your work but I cannot tame the initial view; even the zoom level is now reset to my whole continent.

More CO2 is better (for nature, for the planet, for us). Its effect on the climate is negligeable, and what if it weren't? Nature would still love that! So stop making propaganda for Big Capital.

Concerning this first request, please could you post a screenshot showing what you mean with “many color bars”.
It seems to me that your questions refer to the mobile app but not to the website. Or is it the API? That’s strange to me.

OK, so I 'modified' color bars. Basically, removed the old one and 'added' a new one.

As I said, I'm not using any app, I use the web interface on my Linux desktop.

My main issue is that Windy starts at my very first queried location, and I want it to start at my location, which I've stored as a 'Favorite'. But it ignores that, and also that I want to start with the temperature, not the rain. In short, it is as if it has taken some sort of snapshot of a certain location/layer combination and never allows me to change that from the 'Settings' menu - it simply ignores those settings.

OK, so you have customized the temperature color scale and save it? Are you getting the correct temperature map according to this color scale?

Have you set the start-up location and start-up layer in Settings ?

I will give up now, you are simply not reading my reports. Bad luck for me, I got the drunken sailor.

I read your message. Sorry if I'm wrong. I just tried to help and ask you to confirm what settings has been done.
Monday, there will be experts on the forum, I am not one of them.
Thank you for the drunken sailor !!

@idefix37 Sorry if I sound too harsh, but I've been doing support for an Open Source Software project for over 20 years, and really, it starts with reading the reports well.

Then figure out what really went on, and if necessary try to reproduce.

Yes, some people are lazy and deliver awful reports, but my report is not so bad. And you basically answer things that could be replies to completely different reports, each time ignoring info that is already provided. So I'll sit back now, hoping for some 'expert' kind enough to read, understand, and reply.
