The timeline bar in the windy app is not in sync with the overhead day bar, when the extended forecast is opened
-
As seen in the first picture, the timeline bar and the overhead day bar are perfect in sync. The meteogramm starts at friday (red arrow) and the dark red time marker is also located below the beginning of friday as it should be and the highlighted weather is directly below the "FR" (red ellipse), where it should be as well (see wind in meteogramm).
But the trouble begins, when the extended forecast is opened. The meteogramm still starts at friday (red arrow), but now the dark red time marker is located roughly in the middle of friday and the highlighted weather shifted to the right as well (red ellipse). Now the highlighted weather in the time bar falsely indicates, that the period of higher wind starts later than it actually is forecasted. Tapping on various positions of the timeline bar also yields to wrong (shifted) positions in the meteogramm. Seems to be some kind of time scaling error, when the extended forecast is opened.
I have seen a similar post (posted 2019) about a bug in the browser version of windy, where the weather animation was not in sync with the selected time, when the extended forecast was opened. This issue seems to be already fixed and probably related with this one. Unfortunately this bug is also very annoying and hopefully it will be fixed soon as well.

@peterhanns Thank you, I will report and discuss this with colleagues when this can be fixed in our mobile interface.

@Suty Any updates on fixing that?

@peterhanns Hi, I know that this was already solved once. But I think it can be solved in the version 43 hopefully, that should be out during the summer. I am sorry about the delay.
