Map moves after clicking on detailed forecast
-
When I click on the detailed forecast for my location the map relocates to another distant location. I tried to upload a short video of it here but the system won’t let me.

@jasons47 Please check this post here.

@Ondřej-Šutera Okay thanks. I’m also glad to hear that a fix is in the works because I much prefer that button turned off.

I'm seeing this also. Windy app version 40.0.6 on iPad 6, iPadOS 17.1. The pics show my normal homescreen, and what happens when I tap on Washington DC. The forecast is for Washington, but the map jumps to the Bahamas. It seems like about 15° south at the correct longitude. This also happens when I tap on my local forecast in the upper left, and when I search for a location. That makes it impossible to create a new Favorite with the correct map. This was working until about a month ago. I wonder if the map database is organized in bands of 15°, and the band index is not computed correctly.

Glad it is known bug. My map shifts to middle of nowhere, very confusing and annoying. Hope it will be fixed soon, same as the unneeded clunky new " beautiful" icon menu which confuses me and takes too much time to go through. Looks like you don't listen to feedback of your users and add bugs as your updates instead 😭

@jasons47 Problem fixed. I turned the button on and now the map correctly locates. Thanks!

@freddyhank Problem is fixed only in the browser version now. Mobile apps will get this fix hopefully as soon as possible.
