Have you ever considered extending support to Apple CarPlay to allow drivers to view weather maps and see what is ahead?

@neil-scrivens Hi, may I ask you if you drive on standard basis or professionally? Also, what would you expect from this app? Can you specify the usecase a bit?
I am asking since we are considering this option and it can be realized, maybe, in 2024.

Expecting this functionality too
When driving (personal ou professional) I would appreciate to be able to see what’s the weather ahead (especially rain but also wind or clouds) to we warned early of conditions changes or simply better plan a stop.
The best would be to superpose the weather conditions on Plans or Google maps!
Happy to see you took consideration to this functionality.

@Suty It would be absolutely interesting for all drivers to avoid severe weather and hail! Mainly the Radar layer

@Diessegi Unfortunately, at this moment, we have stopped this activity, since technological limitations of this implementation.

The biggest obstacle is from Apple and the fact that they do not allow weather applications for Apple Car play. So even if we developed an application, Apple would not allow us to add it to the store. It's sad, so we hope that with the arrival of Car play 2, such applications will be allowed.

@SimonUrbanek Not true really. I have the radar weather app working fine on my Apple CarPlay. So it’s not a limitation from Apple.
