<![CDATA[Get notifications for weather warning]]>Hello,

One feature I am missing is getting weather warnings when they are emitted by the national meteorological institutes.

In Belgium we have the KMI, in France Météo France, as I guess I other countries, that emit yellow, orange, red warnings for floods, heavy rain, wind and other extreme phenomena.

Now I found that the info was available in the weather warnings layer, but there is no way to use this layer to configure alerts.

Since the info is already available and processed, how much extra work would it be to allow alerts based on that info so that users can get the weather warnings from their national institutes through Windy?

For now I keep the official weather apps installed in parallel to get these.

I would indeed very much like to get a notification about the weather warnings of the local authorities/services.
Here in the Azores where I live it will mostly be about storm, rain and waves. By the Portuguese IPMA.
But when I visit family in the Netherlands is can be icy roads, hail, snow, mist. By the Dutch KNMI.

@Suty, I think it would be interesting if the official alerts from the country's institutes were issued automatically and compulsorily by the windy app (something similar to what happens with google weather).

I see this happening in 2 ways: the first would be using the user's Favorite, very basic and the second is based on the user's location!

Here in Brazil, at least in my state, the culture of Protection and Civil Defense is very strong! but there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of issuing and displaying alerts!
If the idea of an alert is to be seen and to inform people, the more the better, right? Since they are official alerts, you would just be passing on the information!

But we are working on new alerts about storms for example.

Yes, I also find it very frustrating that Windy don´t give any hints of danger in the normal layers. The weatherwarning page is hidden between other layers and cannot be pinned as a favorite (closing browser -> deleting cookies) in the menu.
Sorry for repeatingly critisizing this again. They have to work at it.
