Yes, I also find it very frustrating that Windy don´t give any hints of danger in the normal layers. The weatherwarning page is hidden between other layers and cannot be pinned as a favorite (closing browser -> deleting cookies) in the menu.
Sorry for repeatingly critisizing this again. They have to work at it. -
@g3ck01 @Pillemann I already forwarded these posts to colleague who is responsible for new alerts. We both agreed that weather warnings would be great to be sent as alerts.

@justvodka For now, it is still not possible. But we are working on new alerts about storms for example.

@Suty, I think it would be interesting if the official alerts from the country's institutes were issued automatically and compulsorily by the windy app (something similar to what happens with google weather).
I see this happening in 2 ways: the first would be using the user's Favorite, very basic and the second is based on the user's location!
Here in Brazil, at least in my state, the culture of Protection and Civil Defense is very strong! but there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of issuing and displaying alerts!
If the idea of an alert is to be seen and to inform people, the more the better, right? Since they are official alerts, you would just be passing on the information! -
I would indeed very much like to get a notification about the weather warnings of the local authorities/services.
Here in the Azores where I live it will mostly be about storm, rain and waves. By the Portuguese IPMA.
But when I visit family in the Netherlands is can be icy roads, hail, snow, mist. By the Dutch KNMI. -
Also agree with notifications from weather warnings as windy already has local weather warnings from the NWS integrated just wish it would push a notification onto my phone so I can be alerted without opening the app!!
