For sailing, wind barb overlay is extremely helpful and easy to read. Trying to parse wind direction and speed using colors and animation feels like Im always taking so much longer to use crosshairs to check exact wind forecasts. As others have mentioned the barbs would be very helpful to have. So much so that while I am a premium member and really appreciate windy.com’s feature set, I am investigating other app options that display barbs. Maybe this doesn’t come up that much but I find this app extremely helpful on the fly when out in the Atlantic and connected via Starlink and the barbs are just sooo much easier to read quickly (which is kinda essential in this case). For sailing, instead of wind barbs, in Windy you can customise the color scale.Here is a color scale based on Beaufort degrees:
