                  @lak73

                  OK with your screenshot now it is clear.
                  This is probably a bug from the radar station data itself.
                  I don’t know if Windy can do something about it. But I see several weather apps which don’t show the same bug.
                  Perhaps @Filip_K can give a more insightful answer?

                    See how the Cyprus Department of Meteorology reports its radar data.

                        Hi @lak73. As @idefix37 correctly pointed out, it is part of the data from Cyprus DoM. I'll let them know about the artifacts because I am quite sure that this wasn't part of the data before

                          @Gkikas-LGPZ

                          I know that waves can produce echoes on the radar, but I suppose there are means to avoid or, at least, to filter them. BTW I'm not the radar specialist that you are.
                          When looking at several weather apps providing radar pictures, these permanent echoes don’t appear with this particular radar. You can check it by looking to Rainviewer website.
                          @Filip_K
                          It seems that the permanent echoes on the Cyprus DoM picture are beyond a certain radius. Can it explain the anomaly seen on Windy?

                            I checked processing of Cyprus DoM data on our side and we were using only data from lowest sweep (elevation 0.5˚). I've added data from sweep above it as well (elevation 1.35˚) which reach only about 60km from the radar site and do not contain artifacts. This should resolve this particular issue.
                            If you still encounter this or other artifact, feel free to let me know.

                                Hi @walkerrowe, fixed by filtering the lowest elevation scan in affected area. Thanks for reporting.
