Windy functions on Leaflet
-
Hi. WIndy community.
I am a product designer (non-engineer) who is considering using Windy API to our nautical chart screen.
Apologies in advance if I am missing any explanations or documents already provided in the past.
【Premises】
We are creating the following nautical chart screens using plain Leaflet.
The base layer consists of the daytime and nighttime screens of the "new pec" nautical chart issued by the Japan Hydrographic Association.
The overlay layer consists of various layer data screens (approximately 10-20 layers) of the above nautical chart.【Questions】
We are considering adding the layer screens (wind, radar and satellite, rain/thunder, temperature, waves, air quality, etc.) of windy.com to the overlay layer in the above environment using the windy API. Is it possible to add overlay layer screens using the windy API?If it is possible to add to the overlay layer, which API and how should we use it to achieve the "equivalent display" to the windy.com screen display (including particle animation)? (Getting/updating graphic data, getting/updating weather data, starting/ending particle animation, etc.) Also, if there are any settings or logic within windy.com that are not publicly available but necessary for achieving a similar display, please let us know the restricted content.
We would like to create a function that moves the position of a own-ship icon based on the passage of time, synchronized with the time slider at the bottom of the windy.com screen. To implement this function, which is synchronized with the operation events of the slider (changing display time, stopping, resuming, etc.), is it possible to manipulate the display time of the slider and make changes using the windy API? If possible, please provide the API for this. Also, is it possible to customize the style of this time slider (icon, length, thickness, color, etc.) and the display unit?
Additionally, what is the license for the JavaScript source code (libBoot.js, script.js, etc.) required for the windy API? Are modifications and alterations allowed under the license?

Thanks for your reply, @Ondřej-Šutera.
Yes, I have assumed that there should be some documents which can answer my questions but unfortunately could not find correct one.
It would be super helpful if you could suggest where to look for. -
@Saiki According to these layers, I have to tell you that radar and satellite layers are not available in our API. However, the rest is available in our Map API.
If we talk about the similarity with our app, you get the map, particles animation, picker and legend with our API. Everything about the implementation is mentioned on the link I sent to you.
Other functions, where our map works as a template, are made by the user of our API.
