Why is no lightning showing on the storms in Queensland Australia, when other websites or apps are showing active lightning?

Dear @geoffbeck, for lightnings visualisation we are using the nowcast.de global lightning network. We are not aware of any limitation or data outage in Australia, but we will inspect it with the provider and come back to you.

What may be the reason is the lightning type or its magnitude - the global network detect lightnings stating at 15kiloamps. That is the vast majority of cloud-ground lightnings. What is below that level are most likely intercloud lightnings of small magnitude, even hard to see.

Also, when we were selecting the provider of lightning information, we noticed, that other networks report huge amount of false positives...

@kekert thanks for your reply. I suspect a detection fault across all the southern states of Australia.

Just now there are thunderstorms in western NSW, with other lightning tracker sites detecting multiple strikes from many detectors, see attached, but windy site and app are again today showing no activity at all.

                Thanks for looking into it.

@kekert there is no way all of these are cloud to cloud or false positives.

@geoffbeck you were right, there was a configuration problem in the provider's feed. Just confirmed & fixed. Thank you for reporting it.
