Scale bar bad design

Please revise the scale bar. Why do you show both units of inches and feet (or mm and m) on the same scale bar? This has always annoyed me greatly. It makes it look like the extreme end of the scale is in a different unit and is very confusing!!

The Rain accumulation color scale is correct with 2 units, inches and feet. See why:
