iPhone App keeps login out account

I don’t know in which intervals this occurs, I mostly see it when looking at the widget on my phone or data on Apple Watch, showing knots instead of km/h wind speed. Opening the app I see it’s not logged in anymore and asks me to chose units. I have the password and email in my keychain (created with log in with apple). This happens maybe once a week but isn’t correlated to restarts of the devices or app updates. Background app refresh in enabled for windy, mobile data as well. I believe this happened with the previous version well.

@Reggaenald May I ask which device do you use? We cannot replicate this and never meet the issue, so it is really difficult to advice anything.
Also which iOS version do you have?

hey guys, as advised from Twitter.. I have the same issue. Actually, I usually see that I'm logged out when on the widget on my iOS - iPhone 15 Pro, latest iOS version. Similar to @Reggaenald it happens once in a while, but I'd say it's actually exactly once a week. I will monitor it and let you know next time when this happens. But the behavior is like that - on the widget it shows 'login to Windy'. I open it and then I have to go through the normal login process...
Not sure what else I can do to help, next time it happens I can give you screenshots.. now it's too late I guess. -
@Stanislav-Ivanov-4 Hi, thank you for letting us know. Do you have the issue with completel reset app after Windy logged out? It means that you need to set default units, etc.? Did you try to reinstall the app?

Same problem here. Roughly around once a week the app "loses" the login, and/or the premium widgets lose connection and show a "login to Windy" sticker. Got worse in the recent months (or maybe I get more aware of/sensitive to the odd behaviour).
The presets mostly return when logging back in (occasionally it loses the 1/3hr setting, and the initial weather radar reverts to the wind screen), but no other apps require these continued re-logins.
Both on iphone and IPad, version ios/IPadOS 17.2. The app has allreq'd permissions. -
@daisy1duke @Reggaenald @Stanislav-Ivanov-4 Could you please provide your versions of Windy, where you have this issue and also specific version of your iOS?
According to the issue, do you have issue only with unlogged widgets or your app was completely unlogged?

@Ondřej-Šutera favourites and setting are kept. Latest app version 40.010234 and iOS17.2.1. Login via Apple

Also, can anyone with this issue can check the memory status in your device? More specifically, the free space is important for us.

Hi @Ondřej-Šutera, I have the same issue as described in this thread. I think that the problem started from the new release of iOS/macOS. I do use the Mac widget as well as iOS widget on iPhone lock screen, Watch and iPad. The problem is that once in a while Windy loses credentials and I have to re-enter user/password on my iPhone. Free space is 150.39GB. Please let me know if there is any other information you could use to reproduce the issue. Thanks!

Hello @alottem, thank you for reporting this. We are currently working to fix it, and our main theory concerns disk space on the iPhone. Can you please tell me which iOS version and Windy version you have? What login option do you use (email, login via Apple, Google, Facebook)? How often does it happen?
This information will really help us to resolve the issue.

Same here for month now on iPad and iPhone. Free disk 168 Gb of 256 on phone, 98 Gb of 256 on iPad Pro running 17.2.1 but happens already with iOS 16
Logouts are coming random on both devices. Can’t see a time diff or some other indicators. But it is about 3-6 weeks.
I am using the email address to login which is used in my forum profile too.

Hi @SimonUrbanek, as reported there is plenty of space on my iPhone. iOS version 17.2.1; Windy version 40.1.2. Login through mail. Happens every few weeks.

When it happens the macOS widget shows a Login message instead of widget contents and the iOS app shows that I am not logged in to my account as shown in comment 7 here.

I've been having the same issue every week or so for the past month, but since I updated the app this morning to 40.010234 the widget hasn't been logged in at all.

Hi guys, one more update from my end.. now I'm certain. The issue happens always from Sunday to Monday (CET). This morning again I was logged out. Memory or space is definitely not an issue. I'm certain I have closed all open apps in the evening before going to bed. I'm on iPhone 15Pro 256GB, plenty of space available.
From the 'error console' within the app, the only thing I can't run is the "Test native storage" - nothing happens when I click on the button if that helps.info
