      Inside waters southeast Alaska forecast are very inaccurate. I use windy daily and on the outside waters the forecast is unbeatable but the inside passage areas misses every time. It’s helpful to put the settings on wind gust. Compare forecasted wind speed with the noaa forecast and the observations around southeast Alaska.

        @pavlof

        Have you tried in Windy to compare the different weather models available in Alaska? Windy offers 3 models from the NOAA (GFS, NAM, HRRR). If you consider the NOAA more accurate, you can use these models instead of the default model.
