The selected forecast model is not retained. For me the GFS returns the most accurate figures and every time Windy defaults to ECMWF.

@papaki72 Hi, you can use this setup in our settings to get to GFS forecast: 642d9348-363c-4b0d-8799-53f5e41e98ae-image.png

The problem, at least for me, is that the forecast model changes behind your back. For example, while viewing “Temperature” you can set your forecast model to GFS. You can even put the browser in the background which causes that to be saved as the default.

However, if you go to Radar and then back to Temperature, you’ll see the model has been changed to ECMWF. I think Windy needs to remember the model it was on and when returning to a layer that can use this forecast, it should switch back to it.

I have to continually check what model is being used because it is switched on me when going to things like Satellite or Radar.

Another example of this: If you set the model to be (say) HRRR and then go to you favorites and choose one, it always resets the model to ECMWF. As best I can tell, the favorites do not (and should not) store the model.

Choosing a favorite does not change the layer, just the model.

ETA: Interestingly, I just noticed this happens only on the desktop web version. If I access the mobile web version, the model sticks during this operation.
