i see there is a weather warning layer but there is a winter weather advisory issued by the NWS in my area right now that isn't being shown..... location northern IN

Someone from Windy would have to confirm this but it may be that only warnings are displayed. This is an advisory which is of lower risk.

hello @UAHiker, as @btschumy mentioned, only warnings from https://alerts.weather.gov/cap/us.php?x=1 are shown in US. also, only moderate, severe and extreme warnings are shown (minor are filtered out).

Thanks but why filter out? Shouldn't all advisory's, and watches be displayed? They are at every local news station and every other weather app in existence. -
also i'd think you'd want to know about potential freezing rain, right? which is what the advisory was about.... as a former pilot and just a general person who drives every day with kids in school i want to know about it.
