      I frequently see "PID" after a map location. What does "PID" mean?

          Thanks for responding. I had an idea for another search, and finally found my answer:
          A PID IS A “PROPERTY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT”.
          PIDs and MUDs are used by developers to raise funds for the needed development of these communities including the utilities/amenities and they pass on this cost to the final homeowners in the form of additional taxes that are paid over 20-40 years

          PID is part of some locations, as in the top left of this screenshot. Prestonwood is my neighborhood in far North Dallas TX. PID location in Windy .jpg
