Why 5 weather models? Do you guys always use the same one? I always compare the most current two, but that is always multiple clicks away. Thanks, James. PS I suggest maybe color code them green to red by color or reorder them from current to old information??

Why? Because no model is right. Only by comparison you can get a feeling of the probability of a certain prognosis.

@Ftjwinfs They should have an "average" model then. :) Thanks:)

Relatively new technology still but these are the resources I know of that speak to what you're suggesting.

NBM - National Blend of Models, this isn't in Windy at the moment but is run by NOAA in the U.S.
Meteoblue does some multimodel post processing using current obs but I'm not sure if that's what Windy has or not.

I rather see individual models instead of smearing everything together and not being able to identify ouliers and spread anymore...

Meteoblue in Windy is the Meteoblue AI model, which is based on a multimodel with some AI post processing.

But parameters forecast by Meteoblue can’t be shown as map layers because it is not a gridded model.

@idefix37 oh. very cool. thanks. great to know, as I'm always having to click around to see what's the most current model. then look at the weather. It appears not many people do that at all, so I'm figuring I'm going about it the wrong way. I do know they have different resolutions and different timeframes into the future

The most current model will not always be the best. You need to pay attention to see which tends to give the most accurate forecast for your area.

If you click one of the weather station near you, there is an option to show "Observation vs forecast". This will indicate which model is providing the most accurate forecast for that area.
