Looked at other suggestions but NO HEART visible. The only way I can remove a selected layer is by restarting the app.

Surely this isn't the planned behaviour?

Sure (and thanks for the quick response ...).

When I fire up Windy, it shows isobars and wind particles. That's fine as a default config.

But if I select anything from the sidebar - such as rainfall or clouds - there is no way for me to the remove those from the imagery. If I restart Windy, they are removed, just isobars and wind particles.

I hope that explains what I am getting.

@Pedro-4af04341-7d65-46e3-957f-9fa05db8a64c Rainfall and clouds are layers from the menu, as the wind layer, which is usually a default layer for many users. If you want to remove one of these layers, you need to switch it for another one.

Yes, they are layers from the menu. But once selected they can't be de-selected. That is the problem.

@Pedro-4af04341-7d65-46e3-957f-9fa05db8a64c So you are not able to select a different layer after that?

We can probably help you, but first you need to tell use if you are using the mobile interface or the desktop interface.

Ok, let's see if we can figure this out.

Windy uses "layers" in two ways. It could either be the forecast parameter displayed (e.g. Wind Gusts, Temperature, Thunderstorms, etc) or it could be things like Reported Wind, Reported Temperature, Air Quality Stations, etc.

                      The later are chosen here:

You don't really turn these off, but instead just choose another one. Earlier you said you don't have a Heart visible. I think that should be in the default set but if you don't see it, you may need to add it.

So click the More layers... button and you will see something like:

                      9807a76e-095f-408f-bd7a-70806226a839-image.png

You display this in the quick list by clicking the control to the right of the item. You need to enable the "My favorites" item. If you want to not have anything displayed, ou should also enable the "Empty map" at the bottom.

When you dismiss this panel, you should not see those items. Just click one to switch to it. Click the X to show nothing.

                      Does that help?
