Dear Windy Team,

Could you please review the new Nav Tools plugin?

Designed for sailors and maritime users, the plugin provides several features:

Display worldwide nautical charts from OpenSeaMap — useful for reviewing a route, checking a lighthouse or other navigational mark, or placing waypoints for the Passage Planner plugin by @brodiej.
Display routes from different routing software, with the ability to:
- Adjust routes in time to account for different time zones.
- Display wind, current and wave data from third-party routing software, making it easier to compare information and identify when it may be time to calculate a new route.
- Display the vessel's position at the selected time on Windy's time cursor, according to the routing software's route and timing.
Measure distances, headings and bearings directly on the map.

Hi @bytepoem, you already submitted version 0.7.0-beta.4, which overwrote version 0.6:1 intended for publishing. Give us a shout when you finish the beta feature and then we'll review. The publish pipeline should be only run for finished versions, not beta development.

I would like to submit my plugin WindyVR LSV team for review and inclusion in the public Windy plugins gallery.

The plugin is designed for Virtual Regatta sailors and allows comparison of up to four routing files directly on the Windy map.

Main features:

Import of GPX / CSV routing files from Avalon, VRZen and compatible routers.
Up to four routes displayed simultaneously.
Synchronization with the Windy time slider.
Comparison of ECMWF, GFS and ICON weather data at the current position of each route.
Display of TWS, TWD and TWA, together with routing information when available.

I updated my Windy plugin, and I kindly ask you to republish it:

Main changelog:

Atmospheric refraction is now taken into account, so the rings match the
optical horizon instead of the purely geometric one (about 8% further out)
Horizon dip: from an elevated viewpoint the sun sets later and further
around the curve, and the plugin now accounts for it
Sunrise and sunset now follow the date selected on the Windy timeline,
instead of always showing the current day
Sunrise/sunset correctly show "n/a" at high latitudes when the sun does
not rise or set
Live Sun accuracy fixes

Can you confirm that users who already have it installed don't need to
reinstall it to get the new version?

Hi, I'd like to have my plugin reviewed for the gallery.

Muggy Meter — shows real (observed) dew point for any location, averaged from the nearest live weather stations, with a plain-language comfort read ("Sticky / humid," "Oppressive," etc.) instead of just a raw number.

Data source: NWS/api.weather.gov station observations — currently US-only.

Hi, I'd like to have my plugin reviewed for the gallery.

Swelter Score — estimates Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) for any location, averaged from the nearest live NWS weather stations, with a color-coded activity flag (Green/Yellow/Orange/Red/Black — the widely-used NATA/ACSM heat-stress scale).

Uses the Liljegren et al. (2008) algorithm — the same method behind OSHA's own WBGT calculator. Solar radiation isn't directly measured at most stations, so it's estimated from solar position + reported cloud cover (Kasten-Czeplak model); this is disclosed clearly in the plugin UI itself, not just the description.

General reference only — not a substitute for a required on-site WBGT reading where policy (school athletics, OSHA, military, etc.) mandates one. Currently US-only (NWS data).
