Dear community,
Windy version 49 is expected to be released early next week. It will bring a new map library, powered by WebGL, among other improvements.
Although we plan to keep our APIs backwards-compatible for the near future, we have published new type definitions and a specification of all LeafletGL capabilities.
We suggest you upgrade
@windycom/plugin-devtoolsin your plugins to latest version 3.0.3.Find more about what's changing: https://community.windy.com/topic/42699/upcoming-changes-to-windy-plugin-system.
See the complete LeafletGL docs: https://windycom.github.io/LeafletGL/docs.

Hello, I’m having an issue where the plugin loads but doesn’t show correctly in the interface. I noticed this while testing during a trip to Dubai and thought maybe it’s related to version mismatch or missing files. Any suggestions on what to check first? Click for more details if there’s a basic checklist for new plugin submissions.

Hi dear Windy developers,
Would it be possible to add the new version of the Ship Position plugin?
Also, do you know when we will need to switch to the new constructors?New plugin link:
[https://windy-plugins.com/14130635/windy-plugin-shipposition/3.0.0/plugin.min.js]You can safely remove both "GPS from COM" and “GNSS from TCP”, as they have been completely rebuilt in this new version.
Main features:
- Support for both COM and TCP technologies, with saved connection settings to avoid repeated configuration
- Vessel position, heading, and track displayed on the weather map
- Centering and vessel-follow functions
- AIS display for better distance awareness
- Direct visualization of NMEA sensor data inside the plugin
- Comparison with the current PNT model and suggestion to switch if needed
- 24-hour graphical data history
- Compact mode for smooth navigation within Windy
- Complete installation help website, including setup via OpenCPN
Thank you very much for your work and support.
Best regards,
Yann KerhervéPS: The issue has been resolved with d.drillias 🙂

Hi Windy Team,
I will like to test on mobile my PlugIn. It is a plugIn for helping VFR Pilots to find VFR Windows based on Windy Weather data. I'm VFR pilot myself, I did it for me first.
Here the web site for a full description of it :
Here the specific link to my plugin :

You can already see it on mobile. Install the plugin on you PC,
load plugin directly from URL. It will then be available in the app and the mobile browser, provided you are logged in on the mobile device.Cool plugin. I like the find VFR window feature.

Hi all, looking to be added into the public plugin gallery please.
https://windy-plugins.com/509526/windy-plugin-sail-router/0.2.0/plugin.min.js
I've built a sailing weather routing plugin for Windy aimed at cruising and passage planning sailors. It's free and runs entirely in your browser.
What it does:
Click your start and end points on the map, pick your boat, and it computes an optimised route using isochrone expansion — the same approach used by professional routing software.Key features:
-
Multi-model comparison — Run routes against GFS, ECMWF, ICON, and BOM Access simultaneously and see how they differ on the map
-
27 built-in boat polars - you can also upload your own polar
-
Ocean currents & swell — Routes account for current drift and wave conditions, with an adjustable comfort weighting so you can favour smoother water over pure speed
-
Land avoidance — Configurable coastal margins to keep you safely offshore
-
Conditional motoring — Set a wind threshold below which the router assumes you'll motor at a specified speed
-
Departure time scanning — Test a window of departure times to find the optimal leave date
-
Waypoint support — Route through intermediate points for multi-leg passages
-
Save & load routes — Store your favourite passages for quick access
Everything runs client-side in your browser. Appreciated.

Seems to be excellent, I hope to be able to test it soon.
