Around 1200 01/26/2024, observed severe deviation in predicted weather to observed weather near 26º 17.1'N 091º 13.2'W. Predicted model shows winds 15kts from SE and 6-8' seas from SE. Observed weather shows 25-57 knot winds from SE and 8-15 foot seas. NOAA offshore text forecasts show same degree of error. Freak storm or failure in predictive model?
