Problematic CWOP stations
-
Hi!
In the Rotterdam area in the Netherlands, there two CWOP weather stations that have been regularly reporting incorrect readings in the local temperature bubble in the app.
They're usually off by a few degrees Celsius (~+5°C) with respect to all other stations nearby, enough to mislead - especially close to 0°C.
In MADIS, they're indicated as operating correctly, but that is evidently not true (for many months now).
I tried emailing the contact responsible for one of them but the only email address I found is inactive, and I can't find a way to either unlist or to report those stations in the app, so I wanted to bring this problem to the community's attention to discuss some solutions.
The stations are:
- madis-C7674
- madis-G4067
Below, my screenshots of the weather station log from the app for reference:

Hi,
Yes, there are several personal weather station (pws or madis) which provide wrong values.
Unfortunately Windy cannot delete them, only the owner can do that.
In website it is now possible to select only the professional Stations. This is a useful feature. Hope it will be in the mobile app too. -
@idefix37 Hi! Thanks for the reply!
An option to use the professional stations would be great! There's an airport nearby, so that's perfect, haha!
But I was wondering if it would be possible to implement an option for the users to, for example, blacklist such singular problematic stations.
I think it would also be for the benefit of the app in general if it's blacklisted for all the users in the area, or at least ignored in the looping through the list of the nearby stations, so it doesn't show up in the bubble.

I fully agree with you. These crazy weather stations give a bad impact about the app accuracy.
