macOS widget doesn't load weather

Desktop widget doesn't load the weather, it just opens the web browser, which isn't ideal if I just want the weather at a glance. Furthermore, I cannot seem to upload any pictures of the fault because this stupid interface keeps saying ERROR!!

It seems frustrating that the desktop widget isn't functioning as expected and only redirects to the web browser instead of displaying the weather directly.
