Windy's Version 41 is here and brings new features!

@Polina-Nozdrina The Icing Severity layer should be called Icing Probability. In aviation those are two different things and the layer seems like it indicates the probability of icing at different altitudes, not the severity (trace, light, moderate, severe) or type of icing (rime, clear, mixed) present.
Just a thought. Love you guys!

welcome to the modern world. Selling wrong weather data in nice and beautiful pics and gifs.
Since about 1 year your indicated weather data is significantly wrong. There is an offset of up to 10 degrees. What a shame for weather experts.
-
You already posted a similar message a year ago, but you never answered our questions
https://community.windy.com/topic/31410/sick-of-wrong-data?_=1711265065650You were talking about temperature in Kelvin (K). Which layer do you use ? I guess you are using the Satellite infrared view, am I right?
Could you tell us where is your location in order we can compare the forecast temperatures in Windy with that of a weather station near your location.

@Polina-Nozdrina this app has been my go-to for all of my outdoor activities. I've recommended it to my son, who starts private pilot school soon. Thanks for keeping us aware.
-
I'm excited by the added features and will be clicking them often.
-
@Wheats I echo this. It might sound "picky" but when scrolling back and forth it can be tricky to "stop" at the end of actual data. For me at least, knowing the most up-to-date and 'raw' info is far more important than a "smear" suggestion of where the precip might be 15/30 mins from now. The prediction is rubbish at estimating cell genesis/weakening, only movement, and honestly I trust my own intuition far more, so it just gets in the way. I'd love an option to turn nowcasting off.

This Update has made it THE BEST RADAR for my Weather Team aka The Weather Twins Storm Team (The WTST). This Update is great. From all of us here at The Weather Twins Storm Team, thank you for bringing this update.
-
Lo mejor para uds.. que trabajan arduamente en que hombre y mujeres de diferentes sectores y actores "agricultores" lo necesitamos...

Considering how difficuly rain forcasting is for weather models, only HRRR really nails it with constant radar data assimilation every 15 mins, I think you have done an admirable job with the nowcasting. Its a very useful feature. As others have mentioned - a "heavy rain starting near you in X minutes" feature could be cool similar to the 'Rain Parrot' app. Keep pushing Windy team. Your the best out there, love what you do. You make weather look so good

Absolutely LOVE the new Windy Radar updates! This is going to make monitoring windy weather conditions so much fun! The attention to detail and attributes of wind forecasting are highly appreciated and useful.. Thanks guys! .. This update is AWESOME! ☆☆☆☆☆ :-)

Sad to see the update times of ECMWF has been moved to an hour. Example: The 00Z data is now released at 09:25Z compared to 07:50-08:00Z. I hope the release times will be back to 08Z.
-
@Typhoon2000 We are communicating this with ECMWF and trying to solve this change. Hopefully it will be resolved soon, however, it is a change on their end.
-
@Suty Oh I see. Let's hope for the best. Thank you sir for the heads up! More power to Windy! God bless.

Yes, please! Make the "forecast" optional!
Mixing actual data with forecast data is a bad idea in general.
With the current implementation it also seem impossible to know what you are looking at. Sometimes "5 minutes ago" seem to show an actual radar picture, sometimes it is likely a forecast, because the radar picture has not been updated yet. No way to know really, but when precipitation move into areas where there is no radar coverage it can't be an actual radar image.A clean and easy to use radar view was my primary reason for getting Premium subscription. As the current radar view is now yet a version of the Rain Forecast view, I'm not going to renew my subscription.
Sorry, but this was a really bad design decision :-( -
@Suty czy planujecie dodać ostrzeżenie o wyładowaniach w promieniu np 50 20 10 kilometrów?
-
@przemo1986 What exactly do you mean, please?
-
Still waiting for total precipitable water.
-
-
@przemo1986 Okay, I understand it now. At this moment there is no plan to offer specifically this feature. There are certain plans to improve our alert system (more option of adjustment) in version 43.
-
@Suty jeszcze jedno pytanie juz pisałem że nie wszystko jest tłumaczone poprawnie i zostają funkcje w aplikacji nadal nie przetłumaczone Z języka angielskiego. Będzie to poprawiane?
