Rain Accumulation (AROME) and AROME-PI
-
Currently in Europe (and specifically in Spain) we can see the accumulated rainfall only from the less accurate models such as ECMWF, ICON, GFS. However, we cannot see the rain accumulation from the AROME model. It would be interesting to add this option since it will allow us to have much more precise forecasts. In addition, in the USA they already have implemented the rain accumulation of the HRR and NAM models. Let us remember that in Spain we also have local phenomena that can generate serious problems due to the Mediterranean climate (severe storms, torrential rains, floods).
Another suggestion would be to add the new AROME-PI model only for premium users (I understand that there would be some costs to obtain this model on the windy). This model allows for very high precision predictions, especially with local phenomena such as severe storms. In addition to updating every hour with a resolution of only 1.3km and frames every 15m.

@Valencia_WX Hi, thank you for reporting this. I already forwarded the issue to colleagues

Same issue as @Valencia_WX, I live near the Mediterranean (South of France) and it is very useful to access this data easily to predict flooding.
I would subscribe to your service if you can add the rain accumulation data on the map from AROME HD dataset.I hope you will implement this.

Hi,
The Arome model is missing for Scandinavia and it dose not run for Alps for cloud bases either!
