Distance and routing planner

Hello
Could you please help me understand how to use the distance planner and routing for sailing yachts?
I have had a premium subscription for years. Have used the planner as well for several years. Though it seems the tool has been upgraded or so. Anyhow. Touching, pressing and pinching the touchscreen seems to result in haphazard results.

Hi,
The Route planner is now available in the mobile app, phone or tablet. It seems you are using this type of devices.
Touch the screen and move the map to place the crosshairs on your departure waypoint.
Then select Distance & planning in top banner, move the map to add the next waypoint and several times until you reach the end of the route.
Select Boat in top banner.
Use these settings:
Change the wind reference direction to North up instead of the default setting Left to right, which is useful too but not conventional for boating.
Enter your average speed and turn it ON. -

Hi Idefix!Thanks for your response.
It helped me to figure it out and now use the routing planning in Windy.
I was using the previous way, by pressing on the screen to mark the waypoint.
So simple and at the same time just a wee bit tricky if you don't know.

Hi Bert,
Yes, pressing screen was the normal way to pin a waypoint before the update of the mobile app, last summer. A bit tricky on a small phone screen.
But if you are using a tablet you can now also get the browser version of windy.com on this device and select a point by pressing the screen. The Route planner with this version is very close to the way I shown above.Browser version on my iPad :
