Tracking storms and typhoons

I am sailing from Perth to Benoa, Bali and tracking tropical storm Lincoln. I am using Distance and Planning to monitor weather condition and finally to decide which way to go. I have been a subscriber for a year now and I just realised that you can not use Distance and Planning with tracking storms or typhonns. I believe that we would all benefit from it, especially in tropical areas.
Please can you make this request posiible in the near future.

Personally I think that combining the Route planner UI with the Hurricane tracker UI, would be very tricky specially on the small screen as a phone screen.
The important point when planning a long passage is to have a good prediction of wind and waves along the planned course. In any case the Route planner shows these forecasts. The only thing the Hurricane tracker shows in addition is the cone of uncertainty. -
If you're using the Route planner on a computer desktop, you should be able to open 2 windows on your screen, right?
I did this on my iPad with the browser version. The problem comes from the left window which is too large. It has already been asked in the forum to reduce it for small screens. I should have used the Hurricane tracker in the right window.

@Suty Yes, that is correct. I believe that would be a good option to see and plan my route depending on predicted path of the TS or Typhoons.

@kkorona If you want to show the track and intensification/decay of a tropical system (such as a tropical cyclone, TC), I use the "wind accumulation" layer and set it to whichever the available forecast period you desire (Next 24hrs/3 days/5 days/10 days). This shows you a continuous accumulation of wind gust speed for the targeted system. Firstly, set the forecast day/time for when you want to see the position of the system re MSLP. As there are no TC's anywhere around the globe, I'll use the deep low east of Japan.

And accumulation of gust speed (selecting "wind Accumulation") set to "Next 10 days"
==>> path of strongest winds shown as "purple" in this example. Following the wind scale, you can see on one panel where the system changes intensity and the path of strongest winds (and to avoid if sailing).

@kkorona here is a nice example of what I was describing above with a possible TC developing off the NW coast of Australia later in the week. The forecast pointer shows 71kt (gusts) and highlights continual TC development before curvature to the right and weakening. Then the system proceeds to redevelop as it straight lines it towards the Indian Ocean. The path and intensity of forecast gust wind speeds are clearly shown over 10 days. The pressure pattern is for ECMWF TUE 19th at 12Z.

On top of the Wind accumulation which is the max. gusts field over the next 10 days, you can show the Hurricane tracker. The forecast track by ECMWF is not yet available for the TC you show. But for example here is another future TC between Mozambican coast and Madagascar shown by the Wind 10-days accumulation layer and the Hurricane tracker by ECMWF :Shown in the mobile app
It gives an idea of the uncertainty as the hurricane tracker is based on ensemble members. But there could be an update difference between tracker and wind accumulation, probably not synchronised.
