New Zealand temperatures

I live in Wanaka New Zealand and whilst I really appreciate your app, I note that temperatures are significantly lower than shown in MetService and actual local readings

Forecast temperatures are lower because your location is surrounded by mountains. The weather models in your area have a resolution of 10 km approx. This means your local temperature is interpolated between points located in mountain.It is similar to Queenstown where there is a WMO weather station, not far from your location. This town near a lake is also surrounded by mountains. The “Forecast vs observation “ feature shows that Meteoblue is the model displaying the smallest error. This model is not available as a map, but it is available in the forecast table. Try it.
