What has happened to the lightning detector which used to be part of the weather radar overlay. I really miss it with its great animations of thunder audibility and the lightning 'spark' sound effects. Could we please have it back?

@T-Easy We still offer lightnings feature in Windy.com, we only changed an animation a bit and the source of data. Can you tell us more about the issue you have? Which device do you use?

@Suty I am using the App on an iPad (8th gen) running iPadOS 17.3.1.
          I am in the UK.
The problem is that whilst the 'weather radar' overlay shows rainfall correctly, there is no display of lightning ie the little 'flash' symbols or the expanding rings, nor any audible 'spark' sounds. It seems as if the lightning detector is disabled as even when I can see lightning and hear thunder with my eyes and ears, there is no indication at all in the App.

This has been the case for at least 6 months but I have only just discovered the 'Feedback' feature and the Forum.

@T-Easy I should add that the lightning detector does work ok if I use Safari at windy.com, so it's just the App that has the problem.

@T-Easy Did you try to explore the World in Windy map? Is it the global issue? It can be possible that you don't see lightnings only in your area. However, I would try to reinstall the app and install the latest version. We don't have any other issues like that.

@Suty Yes I did and and the results are the same ie in the App there are no indications of lightning whereas in Safari at windy.com for the same location at the same time there are the correct indications of lightning. Please see the screenshots.

@T-Easy Just to let you know, I followed your advice and removed/reinstalled the Windy App. This has resolved the problem. Thank you very much for your help.
