Consistent order in the models
-
In the "Compare" option there is a different order in the models compared to the "Wind" option.
I suggest that they have the same order, to make the analysis visually easier. We usually trust some models more than others, so if they are in the same order, it makes it easier to look at the row we want.
It's just a matter of swapping GFS for ECMWF. It's not vital, but it's an easy thing to do.

Otherwise, I'm happy to pay for the subscription and the information it gives. Have a good day :) -
I echo the above request with a little extra request, while you legends are in there! When I scroll to the right, the model label disappears after a whole screen has been scrolled and then it's a bit annoying to scroll back to find out which model I'm following. It just needs a "freeze column" (like spreadsheets) which it sort of does but then it fails after a bit of scrolling.

@perplexit Okay, so you would like to keep the whole segment with model info on the left side all the time during the scrolling the forecast to the right, correct?
-
@Suty This was done a year ago...a couple years ago? I can't remember... but the left pane was frozen and one could scroll to look at future data and still be able to see the model and definitions of the rows. Then this year it was changed and after you scroll a bit the frozen panel goes away. In my opinion it was better when the left pane was frozen the whole time.
@idefix37 There was a post a while ago about this, and there was a good suggestion - can you remember it?
Something about minimizing the frozen panel so it just showed symbols or something?
Or maybe just having the model name follow on the top of the panel?
I can't find the post at the moment. -
@Wheats
It was may be this thread.
https://community.windy.com/topic/24255/compare-forecast-panel-improvement?_=1762530828311But there were probably other, more relevant ones.

@idefix37 yikes...that was 2 yrs ago. What IS time...
I liked the suggestion about shrinking down to symbols (instead of the entire word "Temperature" for example).
And I also like your suggestion to have the model stay with the marker. Though that's also not on browser anymore as far as I can tell.
