Location doesn’t work for sailors

When you are sailing you need to see where are you.
That has nothing to do with Internet IP location.Navionics Boating app gets it right. Please compare behaviors. As soon as you open the app, you get your exact location (and direction of movement).

Thank you!

@Pato-Jutard In your Windy app settings, do you have the startup location set to IP address or GPS? You can change it to your desired value.

I have the same issue as Patricio, namely finding my current location in the Windy pane on a Win 11 laptop. I have clicked the "on startup" to be via the gps, not the IP location, but nevertheless the IP position is what pops up. I want to disable the IP location completely. Is there a way to do that? (PS: I just bought a "GPS Mouse" for my laptop and it seems to be working OK in Google Earth.)
