Graphical models comparison
-
I like to compare figures but I often prefer a graphical summary to get an overall vision of the weather to come.
In a way a very visual dashboard like this page from Meteoblue. It would be easier to get quickly an overall trend for the future days, parameter by parameter, with all the weather models from Windy, easier than the large “Compare” table.
Using the best model for a location gives more precision than the average of several models, but this kind of graph gives a good appreciation of the uncertainty of the forecast, just considering the spacing between the different curves or points.
It could be an additional way to display the forecast for a location.

This graphical dashboard could be quite similar to the table that allows to compare observed data at a weather station with those predicted at same location in Windy. But displaying forecast instead of past data.
As a sailor I would like this graphical dashboard to show the predicted wind speed and direction, in addition to wind gusts and precipitation.

Meteologix also has a great way of displaying graphical data.

I'd like to see Windy implement something like this.
