temperature label clutter

Re: Can't turn Temp layer off

I have read multiple posts and tried most logical things to turn off the temp labels, and the last I've heard is that it's permanent over "large cities". If this is true, I will consider terminating my Premium membership. They're labels, not geographic or topographic baselines. Can someone please confirm this ridiculous decision. Thanks.
