I'm not offline!

Says wow, your offline. Well I'm not. Getting ready to go premium glad I didn't. Android 7, I know it's old but says works on 7 and up.

@hoskwd
Probably a similar issue as those ones

I have the same issue, also using Android 7.
Maybe it has something to do with Java connecting to the internet. In the app Navily I needed a recent bugfix because of the following message:
"java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Trust anchor for certification path not found" -

as i have the same problem i checked with my PC and Samsung Tab, everywhere working perfect. Only the old Huawei Android 7 , which i use while being on the boat, is not working. hope we can get some help here.

@hoskwd yeah mine has done it to ...says I'm offline when my mobile is online because in writing this ... It's working on my Samsung watch but not my OPPO mobile .... Come on WINDY I have told all my mates about your App saying it's fantastic....but maybe not

Hi there, if you have device with Android 7, there is a certain issue with certificates and we cannot do much about this. If you still want to use Windy, you can use Firefox mobile to access our app. We are sorry about that but Android 7 won't be supported in the near future, since we are not able to handle that in 2024.
-
@Suty well that's stupid ... Just about every mobile that's not a iPhone is android.... So this makes NO sense .... Well looks like you will be loosing alot of people from the platform
-
@Decimator Just to clarify it, we still offer Windy for majority of Android phones (Android 8 and higher). The same process is done with older iPhones SW.

@Suty
Hi, I have a Pixel 6a phone (Android 14) and have the same problem.
While sailing between Italy and France, it was working perfectly fine in Italy. However, in France it was saying I'm offline although everything else worked fine on the phone.
Any suggestions? -
@Suzana-Dinic
Hi, does this notification appears during few seconds only at start-up ? Or does the notification stays permanently at screen?
It is what I get regularly at start-up during 2 seconds but never consider it is a bug.
