<![CDATA[Hour by hour forecast shows full Sun, on the radar it shows overcast clouds]]>I encounter more and more discrepancies between forecast and realtime radar. The hour by hour forecast shows full Sun but when I look at the realtime radar it shows overcast clouds which is, when I look outside, the reality. How can it be that the hour to hour forecast is totally wrong and not updated when the radar tells me another story.

Forecast models update mostly
every 6 hrs, so may not take into account latest radar data.
Also, radar data are many times wrong for various reasons (ground-sea clutter, ducting, interference with wifi masts etc).
Thus, must overpass a quality control before assimilation into a model.
