The New Interface has Made Distance & Planning Unreliable
-
Dear Windy,
I am an Aviation Meteorologist who has subscribed to your product because it has been helpful with doing my job and has streamlined my work efficiently. This new interface does the complete opposite of that.
First off, it is important for me to forecast the jetstreams in the atmosphere and having the altitude bar readily available when I click the Wind parameter was a convenience. When I displayed a route using Distance & Planning I had the altitude bar handy to adjust and look for wind shear and other features along the flight path. This new interface now requires me to enter the menu to display altitudes, and when I do it completely erases the route I have displayed! Same situation with point forecasting. The dot disappears when you enter the menu to change the parameter.
Please take the time to troubleshoot these issues. If not, at least give us subscribers the option to revert back to the old interface. -
@Sauceda Thank you for your feedback, I will forward this suggestion to make the altitude slider available outside of the menu.

Yes, this new GUI in the web version of Windy is a huge step in the wrong direction. It is much worse to use. I don't need round Mickey Mouse icons. I just want a clickable list of variables, and an altitude slider that's not hidden in a submenu. Please go back to the former version!
