Draining battery
-
I suspected something is draining my battery, so I tracked my battery usage for few days and sure Windy was at the top of the list. So I removed both Windy widgets and made sure Windy app is not running and sitting in loaded apps, but surprisingly Windy still manages to be on top of the list. The Settings-Battery Information said at 10:35 that Windy has been in use for 10:33 hours and woke the phone up 2309 times (!!!).
Nothing should behave like this, if this can't be prevented, it would be a show stopper and I'd have to uninstall it.

@Libor-4852d0e5-0c52-4f15-9c35-847d71fcfd64 HI, we have been already testing the update for this, that should resolve this. Thank you for your patience.

@Libor-4852d0e5-0c52-4f15-9c35-847d71fcfd64 unfortunately until a solution was confirmed, I had to uninstall the app. Despite trying many methods, it drains the phone's battery terribly.I am camping and energy is very important, I was going to follow the weather forecast from this application, but this is very annoying, I hope a solution is found soon.

Seven days following the original post on this issue, and I've come here looking to see why my battery keeps getting crushed. Yes, I see Windy at the top of the heap of battery wasters. I've also deleted the home screen widgets like the OP, but Windy remains at the top of the heap. I will need to uninstall the app until something can be done about this.
Suty - please be sure to post when it's safe to jump back into the pool. I love Windy as an outstanding weather app, and have subscribed for years, but I cannot tolerate hearing my phone say "Charge your phone!" only to find Windy has crushed the battery again.
Thank you.

Hi, we are currently releasing a new version which should fix these issues. Thank you for your patience.

So far so good. Reinstalled the app and battery drain is only 0.3% for over half the day now, and was about that low for the remainder of yesterday after reinstallation.
Thank you!
