Please bring back the previous interface for desktop

@Suty The implementation of the new interface isn't very functional. The icons are not easily clustered into groups on the screen; ie wind, on top, then precipitation, next humidity. They install randomly and don't provide any indication of what data set they reference until you hover over it. So it basically becomes a exercise in "hunt and peck. In my case, the icons display in a minimum of two rows which uses more screen real estate then I'd like to lose. IMO, this new UI has degraded the quality of the Windy project.
Simply, on the mobile platform this works. On the the desktop it doesn't, it's just annoying. So much so I'll probably cancel my premium subscription and go back to another weather app.Yes, that's what I mean. Asking us to experiment with layers that you are testing isn't a solution especially since you're not providing guidance and instructions.
Next time, I suggest disabling beta or new features and have users opt-in as a beta before implementing without full user input (not do what Google does and only listens to their Google employees around the world). Those people aren't typically wired like us "normal" people.

@rogerbcooper I agree. @Suty please listen to us. It's not that we don't want or like change, but the change you have forced upon us is terrible and hasn't taken into account what us average users expect.

@Suty The new inteface is just not usefull. Those icons are way too big and confusing. I would like to have the small icons for better overview and faster navigation.

@Suty the previous version no-labels why not work?

Is there a possibility to return to the previous interface for laptop users. The new one is terrible.

@Hmm_888 in the forums? Do you mean community pages or something in the app?

Almost all design disasters come from the fundamental mistake of providing the same user interface for both, mobile devices and desktop PCs. Which inevitably restricts, minimalizes and impoverishes the very different ergonomic potential of Desktop PC's interfaces.
This basic, conceptual flaw is the mother of all aberrations and sins with today's graphical user interfaces. It started with the hideous ergonomics and looks of Windows 10. Since then, it spreads everywhere and stops nowhere at graphical user endpoints. Windy isn't spared.

Why have icons at all? No matter how big or small, you can't 'read' them. All they do is take up space.

@ramzik99 I agree 100%. They turned it into a cartoon for 3 year olds. I used to be able to slid the altitude bar from ground to whatever altitude (in millibars) I wanted to check. This use to be a good site and the cost for Premium was worth it. Not so much now. It's almost as bad as the new aviation weather page. I want to see surface winds and 500mb winds. The slider used to be on the right, now it's a horizontal slider (height is a vertical measurement) buried somewhere. I don't want to have to hunt for the damn slider.

@Mike6158
The Altitude slider is there. Quite easy to find it, no?
